As Far as Thought Can Reach: A.D. 31,920 The 1921 Brentano's (US, May) and Constable (UK, June) first editions/printings identically use the long variant title only in the "Contents" list of the five plays, at the end of the Preface. They show the short title alone at the head of this play, whose preceding title page displays three lines:   PART V   AS FAR AS THOUGHT CAN REACH   XXXVI The US edition also uses the short title of the play as its running header (capitalized as at ISFDB), rather than "Back to Methuselah" as for the Preface.
