Synopsis: The full title of this magazine (the first publication of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood) was "The Germ: Thoughts towards Nature in Poetry, Literature, and Art." It existed for three issues, January to March 1850. The editor was William Michael Rossetti (brother of Dante Gabriel Rossetti).
