Note: Author's note: "There is no extant Egyptian text called 'Isis and Osiris." I have composed the story by choosing from a large corpus of Egyptian and Greek Texts. In addition, I have drawn from both sacred and secular texts. A great time span, over 2,000 years, separate the Pyramid texts, which date back to 2350 B.C.E., and Plutarch, who wrote in 120 C.E. Would that all the texts were Egyptian and from a 200-year period, but I have been grateful for whatever I have found and hope that further scholarship will bring further illuminations to the story ...
