Mr. Gardner has also written a new Introduction and Afterword specially for this edition. (end quote) The only stated copyright is (c)1997 by Gardner, who died at age 96 in May 1910. The selection of six stories is not new from 1997. But the 2011 edition alone contains an Afterword, covering each story in turn, where there may or may not be fore/after material with each story in the 1997 ed. The editorial contents should be compared.
