Note: This was first published as a German edition under the series title "Commander Scott". The publication date of the first (German) publication is derived from the fact that is was published one week before the publisher's "Jerry Cotton" #1000 (an issue of a crime / thriller series) hit the stores on 10 August 1976. (After the first eight "Cap Kennedy" / "Commander Scott" instalments the German publisher Bastei commissioned German authors to add further stories, interspersing them with the original Tubb titles. The German series ran from March 1975 until September 1976 with an instalment published every other Tuesday.)
