Collection of linked previously published short stories, some revised for this edition, with a new story as bridging material. Also includes a new timeline, as well as adding references to the previous-published Xeelee novels in the form of footnotes.
The timeline indicates that the chronological sequence of the previously published novels is: Timeline Infinity, Raft, Flux, Ring. The Vacuum Flower stories are interspersed.
