Synopsis: Brian Foley wakes to find that after a hundred years encased in ice after a jet crash, scientists of a new age have retrieved his body and fitted him a mechanical heart and reinforced his body with a metallic lining. There has been an atomic war and the world is now threatened by attackers from outer space. He has been conditioned for space flight to discover the planet these attackers are from.
