A spaceship has been shipwrecked, and it crew is determined to find their way home. The planet and the aliens who inhabit it are drawn in glorious detail, but it is the human relationships (including a love affair that has lasted 3000 years) that have endeared this novel to discriminating readers of science fiction since its publication. ...
