While this story is listed as part of the “The Lords of Creation” series per the author's web site there is no evidence of this at all in this Tor publication even though the previous story in the series, The Sky People, was also published by Tor. The front cover says "Nationally bestselling author of Dies the Fire" next to the author name. Page [2] states "Tor books by S. M. Stirling / The Sky People / In the Courts of the Crimson Kings" The inside of the back cover has an author blurb that mentions Stirling is the author of the "Nantucket" series but does not mention that this book is connected with the previously published The Sky People. The Tor web page for In the Courts of the Crimson Kings states “In the parallel world first introduced in S. M. Stirling's "The Sky People," aliens terraformed Mars (and Venus) two hundred million years ago…”
