Note: According to http://stephengoldin.com/dalembert.html, Goldin's original title was ''The Bloodstar Conspiracy'', which was subconsciously derived from the movie ''The Groundstar Conspiracy''. Once Goldin realized the connection, he changed the title to ''Appointment at Bloodstar'', but the UK publisher didn't get notified in time, so the original title was used in the UK. Pyramid Books was purchased by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich in early 1978 and the paperback line became "Jove", so there was no separate Pyramid edition of this or subsequent volumes in the series.
