Synopsis: 1984: USA has had the technology to enter a wide variety of parallel Earths, uplifting and empire-building; but the exhausted nation is pulling back. A former CIA agent is reactivated after an old colleague begins killing off alternates of a mathematician, and uncovers a startling physics secret and a conspiracy plannning to exploit it.
