Synopsis: A librarian at Princeton University, Simon Penn, discovers that the spiritualist medium entertaining the woman he loves, Frederika, is really a vampire. Finally, he persuades Frederika of the truth, and the two of them kill the vampire, who had come to Princeton in order to steal an ancient manuscript.Their further adventures are told in the sequel, "The Blood of the Covenant".
