This appears to be mistaken -- the story "Descendant" first appeared in Tales from the Forbidden Planet, and "Odd Attachment" first appeared in "Arrows of Eros."

Synopsis: A shot-down spaceman has to walk around a large part of a planet in an intelligent powered space suit.
