Concerning the German edition(s), early 1916 English-language advertisements asserted: • German sales 4 million copies at price 2 marks --February, London publisher John Long on its own "Third huge Impression" • "... two million copies have been distribute among the German soldiers in the trenches." --28 February, Toronto retailer Eaton's, on its "Tuesday Bargain List" including some edition "In paper cover, price 30 cents."
