October 16, 2016: At present ISFDB has one record for an author/artist named John Green. It's likely this is two or three different people:
- The John Green who did artwork in such the cover for a 1997 publication of Tarzan of the Apes, the cover for a 1997 publication of The War of the Worlds, and the interior artwork for a 1998 publication of The War of the Worlds.
- The John Green who wrote the short story Cries from the Deep published in "Fear #30", June 1991.
- The John Green who wrote the short story Freak the Geek (2009). This author usually writes non-genre and has a Wikipedia article at John_Green_(author). The author's web site confirms that he wrote Freak the Geek.[1] He has been e-mailed to see if he also wrote Cries from the Deep when he was 13 years old and if he has published any other specfict.
