Many sources, including Locus1, claim that Roger Malisson is a pseudonym for Catherine Gleason. In a discussion on a Vault of Evil bulletin board, a poster wrote to Catherine Gleason, leading to: "Spoke to Catherine Gleason yesterday for a good hour, she said that she wrote the Roger Malisson stories with a lady called Rita Morris, and the name is an anagram from both of their names. (Posting found by BLongley, October 2009.) Confirming evidence comes because these two authors are both in the ISFDB, the anagram connection and, as Longley points out, the anagram is why it's "Malisson" rather than the more natural "Mallison".
