In the 1993 interview published in Interzone #79, Spencer states that he has "been working on a science-fiction novel which is pretty well ready to send to publishers". This novel was never published. Additional published works by this author include an academic paper ‘Are Chaucer’s pilgrims keyed to the Zodiac?’ (Chaucer Review 4, 1970, USA), and several poems published in UK literary magazines: Ambit #163, Ambit #168, Dream Catcher #32, Dream Catcher #36.
