I don't recall running into "None" or discussing it. Help:Screen:NewNovel currently states "Artist - Cover artist. Enter the artist for the cover art if known. If not known, leave blank", but doesn't describe blank covers.

I suppose there is value to distinguishing between uncredited covers and blank covers, but "None" doesn't seem to be the best way to go about recording this information. Ahasuerus 01:38, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

What would you suggest. I recall some discussion of this, but I'm not sure when or where. I have been entering "None" when there is, in effect, no art on the cover, and so more research could never find a cover artist to credit. This in part came out of image credits, wanting to make a distinction with "unknown" which is what blank is translated into for image credits on the wiki.
