Kevin Pentalow is a published writer and poet. He contributes to local papers, and international blogs alike. Through his writing he won the NPR short fiction award of 2002 among other accolades. He is also a well-respected icon painter, a musician and song writer, known for his diverse music projects. Some of the publications Kevin’s writing has been featured in include, Adventure World Magazine, The Great Outdoors magazine, TGO Magazine, Neutronsprotons.com, fiftywordstories.com, Wilderness House Literary Review, and Massacre Magazine. In college Kevin excelled in athletics and academics alike. A member of the track and field team and after winning a multitude of tournaments and championships in judo Kevin became national ranked in that sport. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from The State University of New York at Potsdam and holds degrees in graphic design and psychology. He is a member of the Psi Chi, The International Honor Society. Being a Priest with the American Orthodox Christian Church is where the bulk of Father Pentalow attention goes and is the work closest to his heart. Fr. Pentalow also holds secular jobs as a full time law enforcement officer and teaching music to children with special needs. He enjoys running, hiking, bee keeping and tries to spend as much time as he possibly can outdoors in nature with his wife Rebecca, and their two children.
