An ex-librarian and professional folksinger for twenty years with the a cappella group, Artisan (www.artisan-harmony.com), Jacey Bedford writes long and short fiction. She lives on the edge of the Yorkshire Pennines in Northern Engand with her husband, songwriter Brian Bedford, and Eska, a long haired German Shepherd. (Or should that be German Shedder?) She used to have children, but now she has adults, and sometimes they even remember to phone home.

She sold her first short story in 1998, which qualified her to attend the Milford SF writers' conference in the UK and has been so many times that she's now one of the organisers. (www.milfordSF.co.uk).
