Jennifer Margaret Smedley was born in Liverpool, United Kingdom on 9th March 1979. After completing her secondary education at Archbishop Beck Roman Catholic High School in 1995, she went on to take three A-Levels at Knowsley Community College. In 2007, she gained a teaching certificate in post compulsory education through the University of Central Lancashire, and she is currently completing her BA Hons Degree in English and Creative Writing with Liverpool John Moores University. She is due to graduate in 2013, and intends to undertake postgraduate study as soon as possible afterwards. In 2010 Jennifer set up PlantaPress to publish her debut novel Snofjell, a fairytale set in the Norwegian Arctic, and her second fantasy novel Crusade For Bramble Wood! is due to be published in late 2012. Since its inception, PlantaPress has signed up three more authors, all of whom are being published in 2012.
