Jimmy D. Gillentine was born and raised in Memphis, lending a southern flavor to his writing. His debut novel, 'Of Blood and the Moon', was first runner up for the Darrel Award in 2009. He co-wrote the short story, 'The Chosen', with Donnette Smith for the 'Help Preditors and Editors Anthology'. His short story '15 Minute Break', for the Cover of Darkness anthology and 'A Night at Death's Door' were both published by Sam's Dot Publishing. In 2013 his book 'Crossroads' was released. In 2014 his book 'The Beast Within' the prequel to 'Crossroads' was also released.
