Best known as "Orange Mike", due to the colors he almost always wears, Mike grew up in Tennessee, Miami, and other places in the southern US, with a short stint at the Univ. of Chicago, until he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1977. He soon became an established part of SF fandom, and was fan Guest of Honor at Iowa's ICon 25 in 2000. In 2004 he graduated magna cum laude (History) from the Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is an admin for Wikipedia, and is possibly the most active editor at Wikipedia with respect to science fiction related Web pages.
