William Allen Veselik was born July 15, 1958 in South Boston, Halifax County, Virginia, the son of Robert Gifford Veselik (1920- ) and Mary Evelyn Mottesheard Veselik (1917-2009).
At the age of five, his family moved to Marion, Virginia, where Veselik graduated from Marion Senior High School in 1976. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 1983.
Veselik became a member of the Fourth Estate in Feburary of 1984 when he was hired as a reporter at the News Journal in Radford, Virginia. Over the following two years, he was promoted to news editor and he won numerous writing awards from the Virginia Press Association. In June of 1986, he became managing editor of the Smyth County News in Marion. In 1989, Veselik was hired as the Public Relations Coordinator for Wytheville Community College in Wytheville, Virginia.
Veselik's first novel, "Weep Not for the Vampire," was published by Mundania Press in 2006. His second novel, the first part of a three-part series, was entitled "Corpses So Lively" and was published in 2007. The second part of the trilogy, "Enter Death, Stage Right," was published by Mundania in 2010. The third part of the series, "The Vampire Lord Unmasked," is pending publiciation, as is a stand-alone supernatural novel entitled "Ghost Image." Veselik's short fiction was first published in "Shroud" magazine. His fiction has also appeared online and in the 2009 anthology entitled "Dark Jesters." He is an Affiliate Member of the Horror Writers Association.
In 1988, Veselik married the former Cheryl Ann Papiernik. The couple has two children, Ethan and Emma.
