Repeating fields

  • Why are the e-mail and web address fields lebeled with "1" when there are no #2 fields? Marc Kupper 20:00, 29 Nov 2006 (CST)
Email Address 1:
Web Page 1:
Once an entry has been made and approved in either of these fields, a #2 is available. More can be added, one per edit. There is a feature request pending to allow more than one email or URL to be entered in a single edit. -DES Talk 15:34, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Kerning question

Given the notes on kerning, should the example "Miles J. Breuer, M.D." actually be "Miles J. Breuer, M. D." with a space between the "M." and the "D."? Mike Christie 08:32, 15 Jun 2006 (CDT)

I would think not. "M.D." should be regrded as a single symbol, like "Jr." not as initals, IMO. Indeed I would favor normalizing it as "MD" with no periods. -DES Talk 15:34, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Adding information to my author's page

I just noticed that my name and some of my contributions have been added to your site. I have some information to add, like my birthday and my birth place, and maybe even some more publications. Your instructions are just too confusing. How do I add this information, or how do I have it added?

From the author display page, click "Edit Author Data" in the "Editing tools" section of the navbar to the left of the screen. This will open the "Author Editor" screen. For help with this screen, see Help:Screen:AuthorData. I've also answered this on your talk page with fuller "getting started" help links. BLongley 15:04, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

Removing a non-existant person (canonical name)?

Is there a procedure for removing a canonical name? Ryan Trusco was initially entered incorrectly. It should have been spelled "Truso". That aside, the work he is credited for is actually by Greg Berg and there should be no listing for Truso/Trusco.SFJuggler 02:53, 29 April 2018 (EDT)
