Note: Each magazine issue was split in two roughly equal parts, "Stirring Science-Fiction", which published science fiction stories, and "Stirring Fantasy-Fiction", which published fantasy stories. Although this division was sometimes advertised on the cover and clearly indicated in the table of contents, it confused some readers and the editor had to clarify the magazine's structure in "The Vortex" department.
