45399 has no Title Reference (so doesn't show up in searches and I got there by chance hunting a duplicate of one of its constituent parts); how does one connect it to 36357 when correct title The Playboy Book of Science Fiction and Fantasy isn't enough?
Furthermore it has Type: NOVEL even though obviously anthology, with content listed. Of course that's easy to change, but:
- First, if the parent title is an ANTHOLOGY and the publication type mismatches, there won't be a title reference, because there's no way to figure it out. In this particular case, there was that issue as well as the fact that the title reference had been deleted (that can probably only happen via the remove title app). Here's how it was fixed:
- Change the pub type to ANTHOLOGY
- Edit the pub and add an ANTHOLOGY entry
- Merge the resulting ANTHOLOGY title with the existing ATHOLOGY title. Alvonruff 04:59, 1 Mar 2007 (CST)
Finally, publication data are "Chicago, Illinois: Playboy Press. $0.95, 402pp, hc". Compare with those of the title's only given publication 45400 which agrees with Contento: "Chicago: Playboy, #LCC# 6612861, $5.95, 403pp, hc, anth)". For a 60es hardcover, 6 dollars certainly give sense rather more than 1. Granted, it would be strange of Playboy not to publish a mmpb which could cost 95c by then, so this might be a mistake in format - OTOH Contento doesn't mention any such edition, but that doesn't mean that much either. So?
