Beccon was founded as a small press in 1981 by Roger Robinson and specializes in science fiction. The name Beccon is taken from a series of conventions in 1981, 1983 & 1985 named BECCON (Basildon, Essex Crest Convention) after the hotel in which they were held. Since Aug 1981 they have produced approximately 50 booklets &/or books (current as of Feb 2008)
