Sir Rupert Charles Hart-Davis was a British publisher who founded "Rupert Hart-Davis Ltd." in 1946. This was later acquired by Granada, who also owned MacGibbon & Kee, which is probably why some books appear as "Hart-Davis, MacGibbon".
The imprint was noted for publishing New Wave Science Fiction in the 1970s.
