Further Notes: Tuck's encyclopedia gives a 1968 SFBC edition of Clifford D. Simak's Why Call Them Back From Heaven in Volume 2 of his author listings, but not in the SFBC listing in Volume 3. Perhaps the Doubleday trade edition was offered to club members at a discount, as the book club does occasionally. Research has not uncovered a book club edition of this title.

Further Notes: In a letter published in Locus #18 (January 23, 1969), current SFBC editor Elaine Landis announces a new policy of two selections per month beginning in July, 1969. She also states that "current membership in the SFBC is about 65,000." In October, the club begins offering an "alternate selection", a title that is not automatically sent to members.
