Imprint merging
I myself would be inclined to merge:
- Tor
- Tor Books
- Tor / Tom Doherty Associates
and perhaps
- Tom Doherty Associates
The use of one of these rather than another really gives no useful information. Tor has always been owned by Tom Doherty Associates, so including or not including that name makes no difference. Similarly, Tor has used both "Tor" and "Tor Books" from the start, so the use of one rather than another is meaningless. Personally, i would favor either "Tor" or "Tor Books", but we ought to eventually choose just one of these, and merge all the others into it. The other imprints listed on the main page do, in some cases, have actual meaning, are usefully different from each other. But these are not, IMO. -DES Talk 23:26, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
