Thanks for updating this pub record. Your note about the possibility of some stories being abridged could be bolstered if you add the pages on which each story first appears in the anthology. Let me know if you need assistance. You can respond here on your talk page by clicking on the [edit] link to the right, start entering you message after mine (add a colon [:] to indent it from my message) and sign by using four tildes (~~~~). Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 04:47, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. I entered the page numbers, then submitted a more precise comment on the abridgement. Checking the text again, I found that the only item that was abridged without being described as "excerpts" was "The Strange Case of Benjamin Button," where several sections are elided with elision marks ("..."). So I was wrong to say that there was "silent" abridgement going on. — Alarob 19:34, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Good. Thanks for clearing that up, and for adding the page numbers. Mhhutchins 20:47, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Perry Rhodan Jubiläumsband
I've placed on hold the submission adding issue #1000 to the database. We have a few editors who are in the process of creating records for this series (they're currently up to the 400s), so I've turned the submission over to them. They've set up some entry standards which you can see by looking at the records for the other volumes (here), and they'll get back with you about your submission. I think they'll be happy to have your involvement in completing the entire series. All 2500 volumes! Thanks. Mhhutchins 20:52, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- I approved your addition of this title (see here, thanks for this, but there are a few things I needed to change, and I have some questions.
- You entered the publisher as "Erich Pabel Verlag / Moewig Verlag KG". This publisher is known in the database as "Pabel-Moewig"
- You entered the publication series as "Perry Rhodan (DE)". This is the title of the magazin page for the German Perry Rhodan, not a publication series. I changed this to "Perry Rhodan Jubiläumsband" number 1. According to this page there are seven publications in this series.
- I changed the preface from "Vorwort" to "Vorwort (Perry Rhodan Jubiläumsband 1)". General titles like Preface or Afterword get the pub title in parentheses, so they don't get confused.
- Is the editor / author of the Vorwort really credited as "G. M. Schelwokat"? (the titlepage is leading). We already have the author as "Günter M. Schelwokat". G. M. Schelwokat can be a pseudonym if he's credited like this.
- Is the artist credited in the pub as J. Bruck? the same, we have him as Johnny Bruck in the database.
- According to Perrypedia the book was published on October 26, 1980. The date for this pub should probably be 1980-10-00, with a note about the origin of the date if the copyright page states 1980 with no month. Again, thanks. --Willem H. 21:40, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
