Fantasy Magazine

I am going to reject your submission of Fantasy Magazine for several reasons.

  1. The ISFDB does not have entries for runs of magazines, or for magazines as entities. Rather it has entries for specific issues of magazines. You edit was not for any specific issue.
  2. More importantly, the ISFDB does not support entries for purely on-line, web-based magazines (or other publications). See ISFDB:Policy#Rules of Acquisition #14 for more detail on this. The ISFDB does support entries for downloadable ebooks and ezines that have a stable concept of "issue". But their site says that this version of Fantasy Magazine will be "blog-structured" and will "post new fiction each Monday, reviews on Tuesday, other nonfiction on Wednesday, news and contests on Thursday, and a fun series of interactive “Fantasy Friday” on line events". That is not what we mean by "a stable concept of issue" let alone by "down-loadable". The announcement also says that "Prime will publish a series of print anthologies collecting the short stories that have been published on the Web site". The ISFDB would welcome entries for such anthologies, as they are published.

I am sorry that we cannot accommodate this entry, and i hope you will make other entries of a sort we are better able to support. Thank you for your efforts in this matter. -DES Talk 20:58, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
