Entering data

I notice that you have listed a number of titles in Bio:F. A. McMahan and on your user page. It appears that most of these are not currently entered in the actual database. If you have copies of the publications, you might want to enter them, and that will be far more useful for anyone seeking to find your work. The links above should be of some help. Feel free to post to my talk page or to the ISFDB:Help desk if you have questions about the process. -DES Talk 23:01, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

I see that you have created a list of published titles on your user page. This is not an appropriate use of this page, see Help:Contents/Purpose. If these titles have not been entered in the database proper, you should enter them there. If you want help in doing so, post on the Help desk. -DES Talk 03:49, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Pseudonyms

You wanted to indicate that F. A. McMahan is a pseudonym of F. A. Pollard by changing the legal name field. Clever, but we have a way to directly indicate this. See Help:How to record a pseudonym for details. I will make the change on your behalf. -DES Talk 15:49, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Your credits

I hav consolidated the various bibliographic list you have posted on the wiki at Author:F. A. Pollard. I have deleted from this list those works already indexed in our database, see F. A. Pollard for a list. The remaining items should be entered if they are speculative fiction. It would be helpful if you entered these or provided sufficient data to enable someone else to do so. (Exact magazine title and publisher; Issue date; cover price; page count; editor's name; full contents list including page numbers if possible) In at least some cases these seem to be non-genre or 'general interest" magazines, in which case only the speculative fiction would normally be entered, see Help:Entering non-genre magazines for more details. -DES Talk 16:05, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
