Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show - web only?
I think you added the Wiki page for this magazine. Are the issues downloadable? PDF, mobipocket, etc. Because of the transient nature of online only magazines they are not supported by policy on the ISFDb. Jim Baen's Universe is listed here only because they have downloadable versions. In addition, one of our other policies is that ezines must have an ISSN number.--swfritter 09:17, 21 Mar 2008 (CDT)

- This policy is currently described at ISFDB:Policy#Rules of Acquisition, see rule 14. This policy has been changed in the past. There is an extensive discussion that led to the current rules on e-zines on the ISFDB talk:Policy page. -DES Talk 10:31, 21 Mar 2008 (CDT)

I'm wondering what the current status of IGMS is at ISFDB. Currently only the latter issues of the magazine are listed. Given the changing nature of the web and publishing in general, especially over the last five years, I'm wondering if the bias toward print availability is a policy that has been revisited or reexamined. Until such a policy is changed, my bibliography here will remain incomplete and I suspect this will be true for a number of other authors as well. SFWA acknowledges a sale to IGMS as a qualifying market. What other criteria might be considered?--JESilverstein 17:58, 17 May 2011 (PDT)
- Issue 1 and 11 through 22 if IGMS have recently been released as retroactive ezines. I have been entering them and verifying that the contents are the same as the web issues. Ezines published in formats such as epub and pdf are generally in because there they are not dependent upon the internet for an extended life. If one is willing to do a little more work magazines with web only have been entered. For instance, I have been entering "Strange Horizons" because the archive page listing all the contents can be saved. Basically what we need is for web only content to be issue based with some sort of methodology for documenting the contents on a more permanent basis - like screenshots. Even more important than that is committed volunteers who are willing to enter the data on a continuing basis. No promises, but if you have a list of your works and their sources perhaps some of them can be worked in.--swfritter 02:58, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
