The Thorn of Dentonhill

Submission adding this publication record to the database was accepted, but some changes were made for it to comply with ISFDB standards. Those standards are linked in the Welcome section above.

  • Publication date was changed to 2015-02-03. (We try to be as precise as possible in dating a publication. Stated publication date trumps announced publication date. I got this date from the Amazon listing.)
  • Publisher was changed to "DAW Books", the ISFDB designation for this publisher, so that all of their books appear under a common name.
  • ISBN was changed to the ISBN-13. All books after January 2007 should be assigned an ISBN-13. The system automatically generates the ISBN-10 from this number.
  • The link to the cover image was changed from an unauthorized or non-permitting website to one that has given us permission to link to their files (in this case, Amazon.)

I also removed the subtitle from the title field of the canonical title record, but left it in the publication record. We ordinarily don't use the subtitle as part of a work's canonical title. I'm assuming "Maradaine" will be the name of a series for this work, so I added that to the title record. When DAW assigns this book a Collectors Number, please update the publication record and add it to the "Pub. Series #" field. Thanks for contributing. Mhhutchins 02:05, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I've approved your submission but made a few changes to conform to our standards: 1) added currency symbol (USD), 2) uploaded a scan (we're not allowed to deplink to the specified website), 3) deleted PubSeries onfo (you entered DAW which is meaningless), 4) deleted the link to amazon (we're not here to sell books or genereate trafic for a specific bookseller), 5) set a publishing date of November 2016 (as per amazon).
