Welcome!

Hello, Meznir, and welcome to the ISFDB Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Note: Image uploading isn't entirely automated. You're uploading the files to the wiki which will then have to be linked to the database by editing the publication record.

Please be careful in editing publications that have been primary verified by other editors. See Help:How to verify data#Making changes to verified pubs. But if you have a copy of an unverified publication, verifying it can be quite helpful. See Help:How to verify data for detailed information.

I hope you enjoy editing here! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will insert your name and the date. If you need help, check out the community portal, or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Hauck 16:40, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

Ophelia In My Arms

Hello, I've approved your submission but had to make some extensive changes to conform to our standards: 1) kept Mike Jansen as the sole author (it's a collection of his works, even if there's one collaboration), 2) vastly trimmed synopsis (we're a bibliographic site not an advertisment board so the hyperbole is out), 3) ditto for web pages (we're not here to sell books), 4) changed publisher to "James Ward Kirk Publishing" as per book itself, 5) changed binding to tp as per dimensions given by amazon (15,2 x 1,3 x 22,9 cm), 6) added currency unit (tentatively I supposed that the price is in USD), 7) uploaded and resized (to 600 pixels max) a scan into our system as we're not allowed to deeplink to the specified website, 8) varianted and dismabiguated prologue, 9) merged one story that was already present in the db (The Arrangement). The result is here (for the publication) and there (for the title level). Note that there's some work left for you to do (capitalization of the english titles, eventual variantings). Thanks for contributing. Hauck 17:00, 20 January 2017 (UTC)

De Falende God & In Schaduwen van Weleer

Hello, I've approved your submissions to update these publication's prices but had to add the currency unit, I supposed €. Remember that we're now an international outfit so there can't be any "implied" currency and so the unit (or symbol) must be indicated. Hauck 14:39, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

Caligo en andere duistere verhalen

Hello, I've approved your submission but had to make sone extensive changes to conform to our standards (note that some of these remarks have already been made to you above):

  • Deleted synopsis, as we're an international database, we made the choice to have all communications and paratext in english even if our contributors are not. Please rewrite it in english if needs be.
  • Changed binding to "tp" as per dimensions given by amazon (17,8 x 1,2 x 25,4 cm).
  • Added currency symbol and last decimal (€13.80).
  • Uploaded a scan into our system as we're not allowed to deeplink to the specified website.
  • Merged Korangar with the already existing title in the db.

The result is here. Hauck 14:50, 16 April 2017 (UTC)

EdgeZero de beste Nederlandse genreverhalen uit 2015

Hello, I've also approved this submission and have quite the same set of remarks and corrections:

  • Deleted synopsis in dutch.
  • Deleted link to publisher (this should go at publisher level or be publication-specific).
  • Added currency symbol.
  • Uploaded a scan into our system as we're not allowed to deeplink to the specified website.
  • Regularized "Jan J.B. Kuipers" to "Jan J. B. Kuipers" (if not this would have created a new author in the db).
  • Varianted Rik Raven's title to canonical.
  • Changed publisher to "Edge.Zero" as per website.
  • Merged two texts that were already present in the db.

The result is here. Hauck 15:05, 16 April 2017 (UTC)
