==Purpose==
This template is to be placed on the image description page of an enlargement of an artist's signature from interior art published in a book, magazine, or other publication. The image should be cropped to just the signature. This template is for cases where the image is used under fair use.

A minimal call (omitting parameters that can safely be left to their defaults) to the template would be:

This template places all pages it is used on into [[:Category:Fair use images]] and [[:Category:Artist Signature Images]]. It will also place each page into an Author and a Publisher category, the names being derived from the appropriate parameters. If the '''Pub''' parameter is not supplied, the image is also placed in [[:Category:Signature images without publication links]].
