Aldiss
"Billion Year Spree: The True History of Science Fiction" is indexed (with the subtitle) at LOC and Worldcat
Question out to Unaperson to check his verified pub. My copy has subtitle.
Macbride: A Message From The Gods
- It appears that Bleiler got every single fact wrong about this publication but the Title, along with page count, date, and publisher of the 2nd edition.
- Mcbride, Melchoir is wrong: use Macbride per copyright office records and online bookshop listings.(Bleiler lists Mcbride)
- Mcbride, Melchoir is wrong: use Melchior per copyright office records and online bookshop listings, though Amazon has one record with Melchoir. (Bleiler lists Melchoir)
- Macbride is psuedonym of J. P. Quinton of London per copyright office records. (Bleiler lists no Psued.)
- 1st Edition was 1910 per copyright office records. (Bleiler lists 2nd Edition only and uses 1911)
- 1st Edition was published by Hunter and Longhust: London per copyright office records. (Bleiler lists 2nd Edition only and states C. W. Daniel: London)
- Pages of 1st edition is 126 per copyright office records. (Bleiler lists 2nd edition only and states 126.)
- Both Bleiler and the copyright office left off the second 'a' as in 'A Mystery Play' that appears in all online shop listings including Amazon.
- There were also clues online of a 3rd edition from London: Rider in a blue cloth in 1939, but not enough to substantiate without a second source confirmation.
