"Subterranean: Tales of Dark Fantasy" anthology

Your verified anthology by this name contained a story "The Lunatic Miss Teak" by Darren Speegle, Speegle had published The Lunatic Mystique a few years earlier, and I assume that the one is a variant of the other, and have linked them as such. However, if you have the chance to look at the copyrights for that story and verify whether or not it says it's from an earlier story, or that it's copyright 2004, or something like that, it would be nice to know if this varianting is correct. Thanks, Chavey 06:07, 18 January 2015 (UTC)

My Subterranean anthology is not easy available, but I did some digging. "The Lunatic Miss Teak" is also in his A Rhapsody for the Eternal collection (I added the pub contents based on Amazon Look Inside) & the copyright page of that collection (seen via Amazon Look Inside) states previously published in the Subterranean anthology. As it's the first story in that collection and "The Lunatic Mystique" is the first story in his A Dirge for the Temporal collection, the stories can be compared via Amazon Look Inside. They are not the same story. I've removed the variant. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 14:10, 18 January 2015 (UTC)

Addition to notes on The Bone Palace

I have added to the notes on your verified copy of The Bone Palace, describing the various 'extras' at the back of the book. BungalowBarbara 04:46, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

Addition to notes on The Kingdoms of Dust

I have also added to the notes on your verified copy of The Kingdoms of Dust, again describing the various 'extras' at the back of the book. BungalowBarbara 05:27, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

The Lilliput Legion

Please confirm that the cover art credit for this record is "Neil" and not "Neal" (the artist's canonical name.) Thanks for checking. Mhhutchins 02:15, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

It is "Neil" as entered. I was going to create a variant (and pseudonym), but then I noticed the cover is signed "McPheeters" (same as sample on Author:Neal McPheeters). Given that, should I instead change the credit, source it to the signature, and then just note the discrepancy in the notes? -- JLaTondre (talk) 23:39, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
I believe you should correct obvious errors in spelling for art credits, and note it in the record. Some moderators and editors have a different interpretation of the standards, because they place art credits on the same level as author credits, and I don't. There's nothing explicit that I'm aware of that states art credits must be entered as published. There have been long discussions about this in the past without arriving at any consensus. Mhhutchins 01:17, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Updated. Went with the later approach. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 23:33, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

"The Restaurant at the End of the Universe", by Douglas Adams

I added a cover artist to your verified publication based on its equivalence to other editions with the same cover. Chavey 15:51, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. I updated the publication notes with the credit source. -- JLaTondre (talk) 20:36, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

Infinity Publishing

The reason I added the notes to them is because Infinity Publishing had a website listed as infinitypublishing.com. This is the exact same website as for Infinity Publishing.com. As the latter had only one entry from 2001 (now there is a second entry from 2007, which I just added), I updated the two different publishers so people could easily find the other. I would have put all this in a note to the moderators, but there isn't such a field when updating publishers. Thanks! Nihonjoe 21:35, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, I was called away before I could leave you a note. I understood the purposes of the edits. We normally standardize publisher names in cases like this. Is there a reason you feel we shouldn't do that here? I don't see the presence / absence of the ".com" any different than "LLC" or other corporate designation. -- JLaTondre (talk) 22:13, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
No, feel free to standardize them. I agree with you. I was just wanting to let you know why, in case it wasn't clear. :) Nihonjoe 22:29, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Speaking of which, do you want me to just go in and change the two entries I mentioned above so they no longer have the ".com" on them? Nihonjoe 22:30, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
No need. I merged the publisher entries and that automatically changed the pubs. Thanks. -- JLaTondre (talk) 23:20, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Sounds good. Thanks. Nihonjoe 00:02, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Changes to Royal Assassin

I made some minor changes to the Notes for your verified copy of Royal Assassin. Added the Canada price and the LCCN, added more info about the artist signature, also more details on what's on the copyright page. Updated the link for the cover to a more stable link (images are the same, just the link changed). I also made a change to the Contents -- I added the Map. BungalowBarbara 03:24, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Discoveries in Fantasy

Replaced cover of this book with full wraparound version. --Mavmaramis 14:26, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Review linked to a CHAPBOOK instead of the SHORTFICTION content

I've fixed this review which was incorrectly linked to the wrong title. Mhhutchins 06:37, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

Addition to contents of Stalking Darkness

I have added a second map to the contents of Stalking Darkness. The first map "Stalking Darkness (map)" is an overview map and was already listed in the contents. The second one is a map of the city of Rhiminee. I also added that the novel starts on page 1. BungalowBarbara 05:48, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Elizabeth Bear's 'New Amsterdam'

Please drop by the discussion where I've proposed changing your Verified publication of New Amsterdam from a Novel to a Collection. Thanks Kevin 16:22, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

Default display of non-English translations

When you get a chance, could you please revisit the part of this discussion where I ask "would you be in favor of Dirk's proposed change to the default behavior of the Summary page?" I am trying to get a sense of how widespread the support for this change is. TIA! Ahasuerus 01:03, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

Linking reviews to CHAPBOOKs

It's the ISFDB standard to link reviews of CHAPBOOKs to their content titles. Exceptions can be made for reviews which emphasize both the fiction and the artwork of certain illustrated works. I've corrected the link of this review to the SHORTFICTION record. (The CHAPBOOK link showed up on this cleanup report.) Thanks. Mhhutchins|talk 06:00, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Vampire Hunter D Pale Fallen Angel updated to collection omnibus

The title and pub have been updated to be an collection omnibus since it contains two novels from the original Japanese. Thanks! ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 16:40, 20 November 2015 (UTC)

I also changed the series numbering on it so it would be correct based on its content. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe 21:06, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
