December publication is inferred from mid-October to mid-December advertisements. Those in Oct/Nov newspapers and the December Bookman display the heading "Lawrence & Bullen’s Autumn Announcements" and do not indicate that some books are ready. Mid-December this one is noted "[<i>Ready.</i>"
It is covered in review columns, <i>The Academy</i> 1894-12-01 p445 and <i>Manchester Guardian</i> -12-11 p10.
