Note: Thea Ann Alexander was born on February 9, 1936 in La Porte, Indiana, United States. Daughter of William Arthur and Lauretta Hortense Alexander. She received a bachelor in Psychology from the University Arizona in 1967 and a Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance from Gannon College (Pennsylvania) in 1968. Married Donald L. Plym, June 30, 1962, from who she was divorced in August 1973. When her book was republished, she removed Donald from the copyright statement. She married Michael Slagle Conley, December 25, 1982. She is known to have been alive at least until Jan. 1998, when she is listed in her daughter's obituary.
