"This magazine began as a paperback book series with long novels only. A
serial began in No. 26, and departments gradually appeared from No. 29. It
is from No. 29 that the title can be considered as a magazine; some U.S.
reprints were used early in its magazine career. Campbell emphasized science
articles during his tenure, but Tubb brought fiction back into prominence.
The magazine was considered to have achieved a good standard when it ceased."
