Note: Series' name translated as Das Wunder von Narnia in German. The now conventional reading order, as given in some Puffin editions and reinforced with Series number on the spine of Lions editions and later, is:
  1. The Magician's Nephew (1955) by C. S. Lewis
  2. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950) by C. S. Lewis
  3. The Horse and His Boy (1954) by C. S. Lewis
  4. Prince Caspian (1951) by C. S. Lewis
  5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1952) by C. S. Lewis
  6. The Silver Chair (1953) by C. S. Lewis
  7. The Last Battle (1956) by C. S. Lewis
In the United States, Macmillan published all seven novels within the calendar year, 1950 to 1956; the first two at $2.50 and the rest at $2.75. --from database records Macmillan offered all seven from the backlist (edition/printing date unknown) in 1967 at $3.95. --from two-page advertisement "The Magic Formula", Chicago Tribune 1967-11-05 pQ24-25 (37 listings, all children's books)
