Note: The Big Issue is a street newspaper founded by John Bird and Gordon Roddick in September 1991 to offer homeless people, or individuals at risk of homelessness, the opportunity to earn a legitimate income, and is published in four continents. The magazine went from a monthly to a weekly schedule in June 1993. It is based in London and Glasgow, United Kingdom.
