Of these, 750 were numbered and the remainder were presentation copies not offered for sale. Price per Chalker/Owings. Not separately priced. Available only as a set with The Harlan Ellison Hornbook in a slipcased, limited edition of 776 numbered copies. Stated first edition "Mirage Press limited edition / October 1990" Gives ISBNs of Letherbound Deluxe and Limited Clothbound editions on copyright page. Limitation stated on page preceeding title page thus: 776 copies pof this Mirage special set of Harlan Ellison's Movie along with it's companion volume The Harlan Ellison Hornbook have been produced. 26 sets have been signed, bound in full leather, slipcased and lettered A-Z. 750 sets have been signed, bound in cloth and numbered 1-750" below this "Of this numbered edition, this is copy ....". PV2's copy is marked PC [Presentation Copy]. The printing history in the Penzler Books edition gives the date as September. However, Chalker/Owings states that the Penzler and Mirage editions are from the same print run, differing only in the title, copyright and limitation pages as well as the binding. Despite the dates listed in the Penzler edition, Chalker/Owings states that the Penzler binding preceded the Mirage bindings by 3 weeks.
