    • Most stories begin with the story title and a brief introduction by the author. Three stories are missing both the story title and introduction. The previous story ends and then they begin after a short gap, with no indication that a new story is beginning.
    • The untitled short story "Snairls" begins on page 114 with the sentence "The other passengers went to their cabins..."
    • The untitled short story "Jable Shark" begins on page 151 with the sentence "The ship: three masts stitched across the horizon..."
