This edition has an excerpt from the novel The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis a non-genre novel included. Amazon lists this as a Laurel-Leaf book but mine clearly states this is a "Yearling / Yearling Newbery" book. This books even has the Newbery book award seal printed on the cover. Artist D. F. Henderson is not listed as artist but cover art is signed in lower right hand corner. Has "Special Low Price $2.49" printed on front cover. Is profusely illustrated by Alton Raible.
