    • Large format - 28cm.
    • No printed price.
    • Re the "authors" - title page has "As told to Gary Crew & Peter Gouldthoupe".
    • The book is illustrated, including the end papers - some are credited reproductions of historical paintings / drawings/ photos. Others are (allegedly?) by the source of the story. Other illustrations /photos / document scans are uncredited, though are possibly by one or both of the authors. Note that Peter Gouldthorpe is an artist, although the statement on the copyright page - "Cover and text design by David Salter" - might have some bearing.
    • Re Cover art - the background seems to be an historical map (by "H. Purcell") which is also included in the body of the book. One of the green stones is also included in the body of the book (seemingly uncredited). "Cover and text design by David Salter".
    • Probably doesn't have a dust jacket; the cover shown is printed on paper glued to the boards.
