A note before the Bear/Benford article states "[The material below is an edited version of a discussion held at MIT on April 16, 2000.—the eds.]" Questions are variously from Michael Burstein, Mike Greenberg, Joost Bensen, Woody Bernardi, Paula Lieberman, Mary Hopper, and Kurt Lancaster with uncredited questions being cited as "Audience Member". The Delaney essays in this and the previous issue appear to have been written for an undetermined omnibus edition.
